Junk Kouture is a global, year-round creative programme and competition for 12–19 year olds. It challenges students to create a design using 100% recycled materials—empowering young people through creativity, circular thinking, and self-expression.
Aligned with Key Stages 3–5, Junk Kouture fits easily into the classroom, after-school clubs, or enrichment. It supports Art & Design, STEM, and Environmental Education while building innovation, teamwork, and confidence.

Running across six countries—the UK, Ireland, France, Italy, the UAE, and the USA—Junk Kouture invites students to submit their designs for the chance to be selected for their local City Final, with top teams advancing to represent their region at the Junk Kouture World Final.
Junk Kouture integrates seamlessly into the classroom, after-school clubs, or enrichment programmes. It supports key areas of the curriculum including Art & Design, STEM, and Environmental Education, while also building essential skills such as creativity, teamwork, and confidence.
To support you and your students on the Junk Kouture journey, we offer a comprehensive range of free educational resources — from our Competition Handbook, and curriculum-aligned lesson plans, to downloadable classroom materials and engaging video content.
