Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE)

The Housing Executive supports Young Reporters for the Environment here in NI.

The Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) programme invites young people between the ages of 11 and 25 to report on environmental issues such as climate change, biodiversity and pollution through articles, photographs, short documentaries, podcasts, and even TikTok videos.

The main YRE theme for the 2024/2025 school year is ECOSYSTEM RESTORATION, and new categories such as podcasts, YouTube channels, TikTok videos and more have been added to the competition.

Join the YRE 2024-2025 launch on Thursday 26th September at 3:30pm to learn more about the competition, all the new changes, and how to get involved! Register here!
