Acorn Academy aims to reawaken wildlife and environmental knowledge in younger generations. We are based in Co. Down and offer workshops to primary schools around Northern Ireland. Acorn Academy believes that helping our little ones to connect with, care for and enjoy nature is the best way of achieving changes locally that will reflect globally. Our workshops are devised following guidelines and learning intentions linked to KS1 and KS2 National Curriculum.

We have the training and the experience to cater for different size groups, different needs and different outcomes. Acorn Academy believes that everyone has something to learn and something to give back to nature!

We are happy to discuss beforehand the workshops we offer and which one you would like for your pupils. We can also customise a workshop for your particular group. Just contact us so that we can have a chat!

Sample workshops:

  • Wildlife and tree identification
  • Bird feeder making
  • Forest maths
  • Nature-inspired printings
  • Outdoor fun

The fees for our workshops include all the material needed, travelling costs and delivery of the workshop itself. We have great discounts for longer sessions or working with more than one group on the same day.

We are happy to talk about the structure for any collaborations, whether it is a one-off session or a long-term collaboration. Visit our website and drop us a line!
