The Wrigley Litter Less campaign, internationally coordinated by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), has over 3 million students and more than 5000 schools involved around the globe, including schools in Northern Ireland. With the support of the Wrigley Mars Foundation, The Litter Less Campaign, launched in 2011, is the longest running school anti-litter campaign in the world, designed to reduce litter and waste while influencing long-term behavioural change amongst global youth. In Northern Ireland primary schools and post-primary schools, through the Young Reporters for the Environment programme, take action every year collecting data on litter and waste inside and outside the school grounds, reporting back implementation and behaviour change of pupils, staff and members of the community, in reducing littering and waste.
The Wrigley Company have also developed an education programme called Bin It which has excellent free teaching resources and also provides a Bin It roadshow.
