<p>Newry, Mourne and Down District Council are very supportive of the Eco Schools award scheme. The Council has encouraged all schools to participate in the scheme through its bi-annual Schools’ Environmental Newsletter which is distributed to all principals and interested teachers in the district.</p> <p>The Council can provide help and general guidance to registered schools on how to progress through the three stages of the awards scheme – bronze, silver and Green Flag.</p>
