Wheelie Big Challenge

Want to reduce waste at your school? Join the Wheelie Big Challenge!

The Wheelie Big Challenge educates about the 5 Rs – Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair and Recycle -and helps young people to tackle the issues of plastic, paper, and food waste at school and at home.

The challenge is made up of three parts:
  1. Free Workshop - The Wheelie Big Challenge Workshop educates students about the importance reducing, reusing, and recycling. The workshop facilitator will challenge students to take a close look at what happens to their waste by guiding them through an initial waste audit. At the end of the workshop, participants will consider what actions they can take to tackle litter and waste problems at their school.
  2. Two Waste Audits - Participants are required to complete two waste audits according to the guidelines and record their data.
  3. Competition Entry Form - To enter the Wheelie Big Competition, just submit your entry form with your audits, some photos, and a short written explanation of what you have done to reduce, reuse and recycle waste at school and at home.

Schools that submit their waste audit results and
a competition entry (by Friday 7th February) will have a chance to win up to £500!
